I've been trying to do a 'sketch-a-day' deal lately. So far it's working...if only because I've been on a huge Matsuno kick. I haven't touched Vagrant Story in a while, but after bouts of Final Fantasy XII, a bit of nostalgia is always refreshing.

Ashley Riot still grades as one of my favorite video game characters; his kind of directness is something that I feel is lacking in a lot of characters lately. Little talk, all action.

I've also been having a lot of fun doing darkened characters on contrasting backgrounds. There will undoubtedly be a lot more abuse of gel layering in the future.

One of the ranks you can achieve in FFXII by killing marks is "Riskbreaker" XD This is pretty nice. I should probably do a sketch-a-day thing too o_O;;

That's an awesome Ashley! You don't see alot of Vagrant Story art. I just wish I could have figured out how to play it correctly....

I was wondering if anyone else saw the Tactics - Vagrant Story - Tactics Advance - Final Fantasy XII - Tactics (two, next year) stuff. I enjoyed Vagrant Story, and FFXII has a similar attacking system, even if you can't target limbs...

But I'm not making a comment on your art, am I? Let me try again.

Excellent Picture... makes me wonder where I put my copy because I didn't finish it.

I really should stop torturing myself with searches for Vagrant Story fan art and make some of my own, dammit. It's my freakin' favorite video game.

I only hope that I can do it as much justice as you have. All the detail alongside the sketchy lines adds to the contrasting tones. Excellent work.

You're right. He is a fantastic character; and you did him justice. The colors are beautiful, and the level of detail is impressive. Very, very, very well done! An instant-fav, for sure.
